Provides instructions and link to register for an AU Library-sponsored account for wsj.com

Create a personal login for WSJ.com

The library provides full access for current faculty, staff, and students to all content on WSJ.com. To access that content, users must register for an individual, sponsored account with their university email address.

ONLY American University current students, faculty, and staff may register for WSJ.com.

  1. Visit our registration link
  2. You will be authenticated then will land on this screen:
  3. After completing the form and clicking create, you will be presented with several screens offering personalization options
  4. Once you are logged in to your new WSJ.com account, you may want to click on the down-pointing triangle next to your name at the top right of the page, select Newsletters and Alerts, and review the selections there.

Access the Wall Street Journal after registering

After you have registered for a Wall Street Journal account::

  • Visit https://www.wsj.com/
  • Sign in with your wsj.com credentials -- your @american.edu email address and the password you created

To view articles located in AU Library Search, log in to wsj.com and search for the article title there.
