On February 6th, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck southern Turkey and western Syria. Hours later a 7.5 magnitude aftershock struck the same area. The quakes have caused widespread destruction to cities in both countries. Humanitarian mapping work is being done in the region to establish baseline metrics to assist in the direction of humanitarian and rescue efforts on the ground.
