Author fees can be written into a grant if open access publishing is anticipated while the grant is still active
AU library maintains an Open Access Fund which can pay for one gold (NOT hybrid) fee every 12 months for any AU-affiliated full time faculty member serving as corresponding author who does not have active grant funding.
Green publishing is always free – self deposit materials in AU’s repository or in a subject-specific or funder repository.
