Databases are excellent tools for journalism research, for reasons of both convenience and accuracy. Using databases, it is possible for journalists to access not only scholarly information about the media and/or society, but also "popular" and "primary" information -- newspapers, magazines, and multimedia created by other journalists throughout history.
