    1. After an account is established, EndNote Basic can be used on any workstation with an internet connection.  Citations and bibliographies are accessible any time anywhere.

    2. Research collaboration through sharing of bibliographies or citations.

    • Add email addresses of other EndNote Basic users to share a list of citations.
    • Citation sharing can be "read only" or "read & write" to give other users the privilege of adding citations. 
    • Display of shared lists is optional on any EndNote homepage.

    3. Use of Cite While You Write makes it easy to cite references in research papers.

    • Insert EndNote Basic citations into new documents, including in-text citations, endnotes, and footnotes.
    • A Cite While You Write plug-in is available to download.
