Advanced search tips:

  • "with all of the words"
Use this box to list the words that your ideal articles will contain
  • "with the exact phrase"
Use this box to list a phrase that you would like to see contained in your ideal articles
  • "with at least one of the words"
Use this box to list words that can, but might not be, contained in your ideal articles
Results will be articles that contain one or more of these words
  • "without the words"
Use this box to list words that should not be contained in your ideal articles
  • "where my words occur"
Use this box to specify whether you want your keywords to be in the title of any articles
Selecting "in the title of the article" is one way to cut down the number of articles/books in the results list
  • "return articles authored by"
Use this box to search an author's name
  • "return articles published in"
Use this box to search within a specific journal
  • "return articles dated between"
Use this box to specify a date range

  • Place phrases inside quotation marks
  • Use an asterisk for a wildcard character at the end of a string, e.g., voter* will cover voter and voters
