Board Games Collection on Pinterest

Welcome to the AU Library's Games Collection LibGuide; everything you ever wanted to know about our Games can be found here.

Our extensive collection includes more than 100 titles. In this Guide, they are organized by subject (Party Games, Strategy Games, Thematic Games, War Games, Video & Computer Games, and Pen & Paper Games) as well type (2 player games, 45 minute play time or less, 60 minutes or more play time). For more information about the table top gaming community both online and in the greater DC area, click on the Games Outside the AU Library tab. You can also view all of our titles on the AU Library's Pinterest page, as previewed on the left-hand widget. If you are interested in gaming literature and theory, visit the library's Gaming Studies LibGuide.

If you find a game you like, just drop by the Circulation & Course Reserves Desk to check it out. Please keep the following in mind:

  • Because the games are kept behind the Circulation & Course Reserves Desk, it is important to have not only your AU ID card, but also the call number of the game.
  • All games are available for a 3-day loan with no renewals online or over the phone.
  • Games must be returned directly to the Circulation & Course Reserves Desk. Games should not be returned to the front book drop.
  • Overdue fines are $1 per day.

For more information on the Library’s games collection, you can go to the Circulation & Course Reserves Desk. You can also contact us by calling 202-882-3221 or e-mailing
