How to Clear Chrome

Note that when you follow these steps, your history and saved passwords will be preserved.

It is critical that after clearing the data, you quit Chrome. On a Mac that means to press Cmd+Q or click on Chrome in the menu bar and click Quit Chrome. In Windows or on a Chromebook, that means click the 'X' at the top right of the browser window.

Start by clicking the vertical ellipses and selecting 'Delete Browsing Data...':

Then select 'Advanced', 'All time', then check off 'Cookies and other site data' and 'Cached images and files':

Scroll down, check off 'Site settings' and 'Hosted app data', click 'Clear data', then finally quit Chrome:Scroll down, check off site settings and hosted app data, click clear data then quit Chrome
