Interlibrary loan can get you free access to materials from all over the country, and even the world! 

Interlibrary Loan

1. Click the button above, or go to the services section of the Library Website homepage and select "Interlibrary Loan"
2. Select "Create a Request" on the right side of the page
3. Log in with your AU credentials
4. Select the "Requests" tab 
   1. 
5. For book chapters, articles, and other digital objects, you will be sent a link or PDF by email
6. For physical books, they will be mailed to the library, and can be picked up at the circulation desk on the first floor 
7. Getting materials through ILL can take a few days! Don't request materials the day before your assignment is due!

Third Floor: Considerate Study Zone

Step-By-Step 

1. Using the first letter of the call number, head to the corresponding floor 
2. Use the signs on the sides of the shelves to find the aisle that contains the first two lines
3. Move down the aisle alphabetically until you find books matching the letter in the third line, then continue numerically until you find books matching the number 
4. If there is a fourth line, find the books exactly matching the third line, then repeat step three 
5. Continue scanning call numbers until you find the match, or start reading the titles until you find the one you need
