Database on Suicide Attacks 1982-2019 (DSAT)
Database on Suicide Attacks (DSAT) contains specific information for all suicide attacks committed in modern history, from 1982 through 2019. Event records in the DSAT are highly detailed and coded for over 60 variables (not including source information). Created and maintained by CPOST - University of Chicago Project on Security & Threats.

START seeks to collect and disseminate valuable datasets so that academics, analysts, and practitioners can take these objective baselines as their starting point for future analysis and decision-making. START also produces interactive knowledge tools to help visualize data, integrate data and organize data for greater utility. Data files for publicly available databases can be downloaded directly from our website or from START’s Dataverse page, and knowledge tools can be accessed through the START website as well.

Consists of Microsoft Excel files (base and supplemental annual files), plus a codebook and group list in Microsoft Word or Word Perfect formats. The ITERATE project is an attempt to quantify data on the characteristics of transnational terrorist groups, their activities which have international impact, and the environment in which they operate. Excel, Microsoft Word and/or Word Perfect required.
