This is a selective list of video holdings in the American University Library. Filmographies are created by doing multiple keyword searches in the catalog to capture as many titles on a topic as possible.

La Americana. 1 streaming video file (54 min.).  A documentary following a single mother from Bolivia who has come to work as an illegal immigrant in New York City, in order to support her daughter's medical needs. The daughter's life without her mother is also featured, as is the mother's relationship with her new boyfriend who also an illegal immigrant. Streaming video.

Bolivia. 2005, 1 videodisc (71 min.).  A man finds work as an illegal alien in Argentina in order to support his family in Bolivia. The film paints a portrait of struggle among the poor in the modern economy of Argentina, with a focus on the mistreatment of dispossessed workers. DVD 7963.

Ernesto "Che" Guevara Le journal de Bolivie = The Bolivian diary. 2009, 1 videodisc (94 min.).  Over 40 years ago, on October 9, 1967, Che Guevara was executed by the Bolivian army, aided by the CIA. Guevara's diary, a detailed, personal account of his futile 11-month attempt to foment revolution in Bolivia, is the basis of this moving portrait. Che's relationship with the mysterious Tania, his betrayal by local peasants, his constant battle with asthma, and his distress at the death of his comrades is recounted. DVD 10063.

Los Andes no creen en Dios = The Andes do not believe in God. 2007, 1 videodisc (105 min.).  End of the 20's. Alfonso, a young writer brought up in France, arrives to an adventurous mining town (Uyuni) in the midst of the Bolivian high plateau. Here he meets the beautiful Claudina, a sensual, strong willed chola, la"Misqui simi".   Uyuni radiates a strange magnetism, it is charged with a collective euphoria produced by the bewitching mineral. The lives of the five principal characters enter a whirl of passion, ambition and frustration. DVD 5475.

Quién mató a la llamita blanca? = Who killed the white llama? 2006, 1 videodisc (111 min.). "In the snowy mountains of Bolivia, in the highest city in the world, an infamous Indian crime duo known as "Los Tortolitos" agrees to transport 50 kilograms of cocaine to the Brazilian Amazon for a shadowy figure named "El Negro." The couple's journey takes them through deserts, valleys, and cities and into the heart of Bolivia, a world rich in color, music, and joy on the one hand and poverty, corruption, and racial marginalization on the other... Bellott charges into his story with all the unhinged exuberance of a first-time filmmaker, employing a small arsenal of clever camera tricks and effects to keep the energy up, while following a huge cast of characters as their paths cross one by one. Equal parts road movie, crime drama, and social critique."--Austin Chronicle. HOME USE COLLECTION DVD 11923.

Sexual dependency. 2004, 1 videodisc (110 min.).  Five teenagers from the United States and Bolivia, with nothing in common except the desire to experience true intimacy, fall victim to their own sexual dependencies, self-perceptions and illusions. The teenagers deal with issues such as femininity, masculinity, virginity, rape and sexuality, and each teen will struggle to make sense of their own identity, reaching for ideals that represent everything they feel they are supposed to be, but are not. También la lluvia = Even the rain. 2012, 1 videodisc (103 min.). "Idealistic filmmaker Sebastian ... and his cynical producer Costa ... arrive in Bolivia to make a revisionist film about Christopher Columbus' conquest of the Americas. But as filming commences, the local citizens begin to riot in protest against a multi-national corporation that is taking control of their water supply. With the film shoot in jeopardy, both men find their convictions shaken. Inspired by the real-life Water Wars in Bolivia in the year 2000"—Container. DVD 9314.

ZS Zona Sur. 1 videodisc (104 min.). "Nestled in the lush valley of La Paz, Bolivia, the upper-class suburb of Zona Sur has sheltered the country's wealthy elite for many years. Here, in an adobe-tile-roofed castle, a statuesque matriarch reigns over her spoiled progeny and her Indigenous Aymaran butler. But all is not what it seems. As the mother fights with her oversexed son and clashes with her petulant daughter, her six-year-old son rambles the rooftops unnoticed. Decline hangs in the air, and the threat of aristocratic privileges changing hands signifies a new chapter of a prickly and ill-fated class war. Reflected in the rotating camera work, Zona Sur relates the story of the final days of an upper-class family, at a time when the country is undergoing massive social upheaval."
