Finding Books About Individuals

The most precise way to find books using the ALADIN catalog is to use a person's name in a subject search: last name, first name

Example:   Lincoln, Abraham.

You will given a list of names as subject headings.  Select the one that most closely matches your individual and with the most titles associated with it.

You can limit the results to AU Library titles by using the "post limits" button at the bottom of the results page.

An easier but less precise way to find biographies is to use the Keyword (and, or, not) search option.  For this search use the individual's name in quotations and the truncated word biograph?.

Example:  "Maya Angelou" and biograph?
