Welcome to American University Library’s guide documenting our exploration of Artificial Intelligence!  In this guide, you will find information about various experiments we’ve engaged in to test AI’s ability to support a variety of work-related activities.  The current focal point of this guide is a broader framework document that we’ve created which delves into different facets of the implications around usage of AI – ethical and otherwise - as well as opportunities and areas of concern. You can view content from the report in the guide's individual pages or view the entire report here along with slides from the authors’ presentations and the working group’s charge.

We are still in the early stages of experimenting and discovering how to incorporate AI into our work, so stay tuned and revisit frequently as more information will be posted about what we are working on and related outcomes.

American University Library sees the transformational nature and opportunities that come with the development of AI, along with the associated risks in a variety of areas.  Our hope is that in sharing our AI journey with others, we can contribute to the library community’s expanding knowledge of these tools through offering information about our own projects, processes, and outcomes.  Please reach our if you have questions or wish to share!
