Examines the PeacePlayers organization, which uses basketball to build bridges of understanding, communication and peace between Israeli and Palestinian children. The short film interviewed PeacePlayer participants while on a trip to the United States. DVD 6048

Finding Forrester. 2001. 1 videodisc (136 min.). Jamal Wallace is a talented young basketball player in New York City whose secret passion is writing. After an accidental meeting, Forrester, a reclusive novelist, becomes Jamal's unlikely mentor. Soon, both men learn lessons from each other about life and the importance of friendship. Feature film. Love & basketball. New Line platinum series. 2008. 1 videodisc (127 min.). "From the playground to the pro leagues, Monica and Quijncy taught each other how to play the game. Space jam. 2003. 2 videodiscs (88 min.). Michael Jordan must play basketball against space invaders that are trying to capture the Looney Tunes characters. Feature film. HOME USE COLLECTION DVD 7990

The basketball diaries. 1998. 1 videodisc (102 min.). Teamed with his friends Mickey, Neutron and Pedro, high school student Jim Carroll seems headed for a bright basketball career.  But when pressures from his coach, his mom, and school seem to mount, Jim finds solace in all the wrong places, and the dark streets of New York begin to tear him apart. The campaign; The big game. Middletown. 1992. 1 videodisc (137 min.). The campaign: Follows two candidates, Jim Carey and Alan Wilson, in a Muncie, Indiana mayoral race. The big game: Updates a study of Muncie, Ind., done in the 1920s and 1930s. Explores both the continuity and change embodied in the people and institutions of one midwestern community. Using a cinema veritâe technique, captures the annual basketball game between the Muncie Central High School Bearcats and the Anderson High School Indians.  DVD 7711
