Google Scholar Alerts

Google Scholar offers email alerts, with a Gmail account. Select the alert icon above the Google Scholar logo. Log in to your Google account or create a new one and select create alert.

Search Term Alerts

Some databases require you to create a profile or account in order to store your searches. You can then create an email alert or RSS feed so that any new articles that meet your search criteria are sent to you. Keep in mind that the username and password for the databases are not affiliated with AU library. If you were to encounter issues with the username/password, you would need to contact that database directly.

Academic Search Premier This link opens in a new window
Sign In and Create Alert.

Google Scholar
Run your search and click 'Create Alert'.

ProQuest Central This link opens in a new window
Conduct a search and select "Create Alert".
PubMed This link opens in a new window
Sign in to "My NCBI" and run a search in Pubmed. Click "Save Search".
ScienceDirect This link opens in a new window
Create an account under "Sign In". Create and run a search.
On the search results page, select "Save Search Alert".

SciFinder Scholar
Select "Create Keep Me Posted" to set up email notifications.

Web of Science This link opens in a new window
Select "Sign In" and "Register" to create a new account. Click "My Tools" and "Saved Searches & Alerts".
