Local Note Structure
When a note refers to a specific copy (even if only one copy is held), begin with “American University copy” or something more specific as necessary, followed by a colon.
Examples:
- American University copy: signed by the author.
- American University Special Collections copy: no. 951 of 1000 registered and numbered sets.
- One American University copy (non-retention): inscribed by the author.
